So due to some personal stuff going on in the background (long story, not worth getting into the details) I didn't book a lot of my usual comic cons in time to get a table this year--totally expected when you book late, but still disappointing. I had some "life gets in the way" stuff that prevented me from being able to commit to travel until just the past week or two, which took me out of the running for some of my favorite shows that require overnight travel to attend.
Question: Which cons are everyone going to this year? I'm looking for alternatives to some of the shows I did last year I won't be able to table at. Drivable from the Boston area is ideal, but I'm open to suggestions anywhere. Previous years I've ranged around New England, attending shows in New Hampshire, Connecticut, and Rhode Island as well as back home in Massachusetts, but I'm looking for any and all ideas. I am definitely already booked for Boston (again, the personal life stuff made travel iffy, but I knew I could at least get to my home town show). Things are looking more manageable now and I'd love to hit a few strong shows between May and December. Got any suggestions? Comment below, or send a private message--would love to hear where everyone is going this year.

How about Philly, Matt? Just an Amtrak ride from Boston. (And thankfully they didn't schedule it for Mother's Day weekend this year like they did LAST year!)

Philly's a very reasonable distance, too. I'll have to look into how I'd get the books there (or just plan to spend a long time in the car instead of on the train) but that's a doable distance.
