Been meaning to post these for a while and keep forgetting--the Salem Athenaeum hosted a number of writing events during the Salem Lit Fest in November, including a panel on writing young characters. I acted as a sort of unofficial moderator for the panel of three, which also included the amazingly talented E.E. Holmes and Michael Gerhard Martin. We talked about finding the characters' voices, lots of nitty gritty writing tips, and had a lot of laughs.
Also the wonderful photographer Joey Phoenix documented the event and sent over a bunch of photos I've been remiss posting. So: here they are! If you're looking to hear me speak on writing in the near future, I'll be at Queen City Kamikaze in Manchester, NH on March 18 for three or four panels on different aspects of writing.

I love that you got exactly what Emily would say in this situation. Emily so never watched the dub. Billy, however, always watches the dubbed version because he doesn't feel like reading that much.
